I welcome new ideas, new manifestations, new hope, new lessons, new bags, new gratitude, new beginnings. With that being stated and understood, welcome.

I welcome you to this little piece of me that I have now decided to dedicate myself to share with until further notice. The date is March 30, 2020. I am stuck quarantining at my childhood home in Virginia as of almost two weeks ago and I am unsure what the future holds for life as I knew it, but what I do know is that I am tired of being trapped inside for most of the day feeling as though I am chained to my computer and technology as my only life jacket to companionship and human interaction minus the 4 other lovely family members that are keeping me in good spirits.

Being quarantined has forced me, and I think a majority of the world, to look at who am I when I am not immobilized with business to handle, places to go, or people to see? What do I actually like to do outside of working? How many Alison Roman recipes can I make before going crazy? How many glasses of wine with dinner start to make my parent’s concerned about my drinking? What will all my friends who lost their jobs due to the pandemic do when this is all done?

When this is over I think that we will all have this sense of urgency to rush back out and live our lives to the fullest with new perspectives on life, or at the very least a new sense in understanding of self. All I can think of right now is when I will be back to my busy…
